Inspiring Stewards Programs
Living Labs are immersive programs for students and young adults designed to explore ecology, regenerative land management, and food systems through the lens of bison ranching. This is more than a class—it's a working lab rooted in the land.

Bison-ology
Bison-ology is the heart of the Living Labs experience—a deep dive into the science, culture, and stewardship of bison. In this course, students will explore how bison shape ecosystems, restore landscapes, and feed communities. Through hands-on lessons and real-world observation, participants will learn everything from animal behavior and veterinary basics to native grazing systems, humane harvesting, and ecological monitoring.
By the end of the course, students won’t just understand the bison—they’ll understand how to live and work in balance with the land.

Wind Whispering
Learning the Language of Horses —students are invited into a sacred conversation—one spoken not in words, but in breath, body, and stillness. This course is an immersive journey into the subtle, intuitive world of equine connection, where communication begins with presence and deepens into partnership.
Participants will learn the foundations of equine speak—the body language, energetic cues, and emotional attunement that horses use to communicate. Through guided somatic practices, students will explore the principles of equine-assisted therapy, participate in individual and group meditations with the herd, and discover how to both offer and receive healing touch.
